Refund policy
At HP Shop, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with every purchase. Please review our return and refund policy below to understand your rights and responsibilities when returning products.
1. Faulty or Malfunctioning Items
- Within 30 Days of Purchase: If a fault occurs within 30 days, HP Shop will assist you in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty and cover all return courier costs.
- After 30 Days of Purchase: For issues arising after 30 days, support will be provided per the manufacturer’s policy. In such cases, return courier costs will be the customer’s responsibility.
2. Incorrectly Purchased or Delivered Items
- Unwanted or Incorrectly Ordered Items: Items may be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they are sealed, unused, and in original packaging. A 15% handling fee and courier charges will apply.
- Incorrect Items Received: If the item delivered is not what you ordered, please notify us within 14 days. Returns in such cases will be at no cost to you. We recommend checking the delivery at arrival and rejecting incorrect items for fastest resolution.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Opened or downloaded software
- Custom-configured or built-to-order products
- Clearance or "Final Sale" items
- Perishable items such as batteries
- Gift cards and extended warranties (once activated)
4. How to Return an Item
- Online: Visit our Returns Centre for a quick and easy self-service return process.
- Email or Phone Support: Email us at support@hpshop.co.za or call 0800 390 020 to log a return manually.
- Return Approval & Shipping: If approved, we’ll send a shipping label and instructions. Returns sent without prior approval may be rejected.
- Packaging: Please ensure the product is returned in its original packaging, with all accessories and manuals included.
- Courier Charges: For incorrectly ordered or post-30-day returns, courier fees will depend on item size and collection location.
5. Refunds
Once your item is inspected and approved for return, your refund will be processed to the original payment method. Please allow time for your bank or card provider to process the refund.
6. Exchanges
Should you prefer an exchange, we recommend placing a new order after your return is accepted, as this is the fastest way to receive your replacement.
7. Warranty Claims
Products under manufacturer warranty will follow the warranty process outlined by the brand. You may be required to contact the manufacturer directly for certain claims.
